Costain and the Armed Forces

Costain is committed to helping those transitioning out of the services, find their next career, as well as supporting those who continue with the Reservist community.

We have a long history of supporting the Armed Forces. We work with the Careers Transition Partnership (CTP), Buildforce UK and the Officers Association. Partnering with the Forces Families Jobs Forum and the Military Coworking Network we support the employment of Service spouses and partners and offering advice and support as well as coaching.

We have an employee led Services and Service Families’ Network (SaSFN) who organise events and social meetings to share and celebrate military and blue light service insights

We provide additional support and leave for those who are reservists or volunteering to support cadent organisations. Reservists receive two weeks additional paid leave for training and once every five years, will be granted additional unpaid time off for specific duties. If you are a volunteer leader in military cadet organisations, you can utilise two volunteering days a year.

In 2018 we signed the Armed Forces Military Covenant and were proud to be awarded the Employers Recognition Scheme Gold Award in 2021
