bp awards Costain onshore carbon capture project in Teesside
On behalf of its partners, bp – the operator of the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) - has awarded Costain the onshore FEED contract for the East Coast Cluster carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS). Costain will design the onshore CO2 gathering pipeline and the new grid connection for the gas power-station.

Community-scale hydrogen production project set to begin in South Wales
Costain has been awarded funding by the Welsh Government’s Smart Living HyBRID SBRI initiative to undertake a project which looks at the feasibility of small scale hydrogen production in South Wales. Green light for project to trial low carbon energy network resilience on Skye
The Resilience as a Service (RaaS) project, led by Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Distribution, Costain and E.ON, welcomes the positive decision to progress the development of a pilot scheme to improve energy resilience in remote and rural areas through the use of battery storage technology together with local energy resources.
